It’s time for another Warhammer: The Old World character name generator, and today I’m happy to present you with a million billion randomly generated options for the frosty yet faithful people of Kislev!
In some ways this one was quite tricky, as I typically use the names of characters that already exist in the lore as my starting point. But, due to the fact that Kislev was only very briefly a fully supported army in Warhammer Fantasy, it never had the opportunity to develop the sheer number of named characters that you find in Bretonnia or the Empire. Still, given that I extrapolated a whole gnoblar character name generator from just five canon names, this was a challenge I definitely felt I could handle!
The culture of Kislev is evidently based on a range of influences, but seems to be predominantly drawn from the culture of the Cossacks and Russia under the tsars, so I leaned heavily on traditional names of these peoples and historical periods, in many cases tweaking them to fit the names and conventions present in the Warhammer lore. When Warhammer The Old World is finally realeased and Kislev becomes a fully fleshed-out faction on the tabletop, I may revisit this name generator to make sure it’s brought in line with what will no doubt be a much denser body of lore and cast of characters. But for now I think it pretty much has the right vibe based on the material that’s currently out there.
