Praise Nurgle, hail Mortarion and all glory to the disgustingly resilient plague marines of the 14th legion! Chaos space marines don’t come much more characterful than the Death Guard, so it’s only fitting that they get their own character name generator for narrative play in the Warhammer 40,000 setting.
This is the first name generator I’ve created for one of the traitor legions, and I found myself facing an interesting dilemma. The names of plague marine characters in the 41st millennium are very different to those during the time of the Horus Heresy, so what was I to do? Simply ignore the pre-heresy naming conventions entirely? Nah! Of course I included options for both. So whether your heretic astartes are just beginning their journey along the road to damnation or have long since arrived at Papa Nurgle’s roadside motel of damnation (with all its attendant filth, bedbugs and bodily fluids), you’re covered.
This name generator is perfect for narrative play in the 41st millennium, whether you're naming your heroes in Warhammer 40,000 or each and every squad member in Kill Team. It’s also great for naming your Death Guard space marines in the 30K setting of the Horus Heresy. I hope you like it!
