Character Name Generator - Flesh-Eater Courts

Oh no. I seem to have developed a debilitating new obsession. To be specific, I don’t seem to be able to stop making character name generators for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Not especially debilitating you might say, but in the last three weeks I’ve spent almost as much time working on them as I have painting models! And consider this - despite the fact that I’ve spent almost every free moment for the last five years building and painting Warhammer miniatures, my name generator activities this week led my wife, for the first time, to refer to me as a nerd. A nerd. It seems I’ve tipped her over the edge. These are dark days indeed.
No matter! The good work continues! In fact, I’m having such a good time that I’ve decided to work towards creating a name generator for every faction in Age of Sigmar, with the loose objective of publishing one per week on this blog until the end of time. I’d also like to invite you to get involved in deciding which faction I cover next, with ongoing public polls via my Twitter account.
In the most recent poll, the Flesh-Eater Courts narrowly beat out Troggherd, Beasts of Chaos and Anvilgard - thanks so much to all of you who participated. This character name generator was hugely enjoyable to put together, and I think you’re going to like it too. I’ve tried to capture that unique blend of the macabre, the delusions of grandeur and the absurd humour of the Flesh-Eater Courts, whilst staying true to the style and tone of the character names that have appeared in official Games Workshop publications. I hope you’ll find it useful when naming ghouls, ghasts and other assorted horrors for your skirmish and narrative games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. By the way, if you enjoy Flesh-Eater Courts warbands and conversions, you might like to check out my Ravenous Pilgrims.
Following on from earlier generators, I’ve also reworked the style and structure of the generator sheet, as well as the method by which names are generated. I realised that the method I used previously meant that some options were much more likely to come up than others - now the odds are exactly equal across the board, meaning a much wider (and weirder!) variety of unique names will come up.
If you use the generator and enjoy it, I’d love it if you’d leave a comment below - let me know what names you’ve come up with!
