At the time of writing I’ve now made four chapter-specific space marine character name generators - one each for the Ultramarines, the Imperial Fists, the Blood Angels and the Dark Angels. I’ve been wanting to make a generic space marine name generator for a while, and between these four chapters I now finally have enough material to do just that. This name generator combines all of that content into a single beast, perfect for naming the characters and heroes that will lead your homebrew space marine chapter.
Of course, I also have new name generators for the remaining space marine chapters coming up in the weeks and months ahead (the major ones anyway - I’m not going to be making a name generator for the Doom Eagles any time soon). When those generators go live, I’ll also be adding their content to this generator at the same time, so it will be an ever-expanding resource for narrative play in Warhammer 40K. And in case you were wondering, my generators don’t just pick from a database of pre-existing names like most others online - they actually randomly generate entirely new names using syllable components sourced from the official 40K lore, so you get a truly vast range of unique possibilities that’s only going to grow over time.
